Your level is a number from 1.0 to 7.0. It is not a ranking of everyone on the app — it is an estimate of how you play.
It starts from a short self-assessment when you join.
After a competitive match is confirmed, the match page shows how much each player moved (for example +0.07). The level badge rounds to tenths, so 4.2 may stay 4.2. Friendly matches do not change it.
When you are new, it moves more. After more games it settles, and each result moves it less.
Beating stronger players moves you more than beating people at your level. A clear 2–0 usually moves you more than a tight 2–1.
If a set was not finished — for example 25-10 and then 6-8 when you had to stop — it still counts, but less than a completed set.
If your number feels wrong, you can ask for an adjustment from your profile after you sign in.
